Launching the MRSA promotional video
Today we launched our new promotional video for our MRSA programme, which aims to combat the methicillin resistant bacteria Staphylococcus Aureus.
This video supports our courageous and innovative project to eradicate MRSA, starting in the Far North.
Traditionally, MRSA stood for methicillin resistance but nowadays the term refers increasingly to a multi-drug resistant group. Such bacteria often have resistance to many antibiotics used against staphylococcus aureus.
Prevalence rates by the District Health Board show a significant higher rate of MRSA in Northland.
We have secured support from sponsors who have a commitment to the eradication of MRSA and to whom we are very grateful (as are the families receiving the care and guidance they need to combat MRSA).
We are also thankful to the families who have contributed their time and shared their MRSA journey with us.
