  • Far North Rangatahi at the National Brainbee Neuroscience Competition
    A huge congratulations to our fifteen Year 11 tauira from Kaitaia and Kaikohe who represented the Far North in the final round of The New Zealand Brain Bee Challenge in July.

    Te Kura Kaupapa Maori o Pukemiro is the first kura in the Far North to take part in this nationwide Fructose Study.

  • Local rangatahi heads to Pacific Islands with Māoriland Film
    Te Mahara Parata attended a film making wānanga hosted by our organisation. He is now heading to Hawai'i, Tahiti, Rarotonga and Samoa where he will participate in the youth film making initiative, 'Through Our Lens' with other indigenous youth.

  • Launching the Hawea Vercoe Leadership Programme
    We recently launched our 2017 HVLP at our Te Tai Tokerau Leadership Summit, held at Waitangi during Matariki. We have expanded our programme, which had an initial intake of 10 rangatahi, to provide opportunities for 20 rangatahi.
